 Step 1. Greet the class and check the homework.

 

Step 2. Revision

       Ask students to do some translation exercises on the screen.

 

Step 3. Reading comprehension

     1). Ask students to read the passage for the first time and fill in the chart below. Then check the answers.

 

         2). Screen the questions and get the students to read the passage again, and then find out the right answers.

  Where will Ming live in 10 years?

 Where will he be in ten years?

 What will he have?

 What will he do?

 What kind of clothes will he wear?

 Where will he go on vacation?

      Check the answers.

    3). Ask the students to read the passage for a third time and try to find out the new words and phrases as much as possible. Divide the class into 2 parts to see which part will be the winner.

        Learn the new words and phrases.

4) Ask the students to try to translate the passage. Move around to give any necessary help.

  Check the answer by getting two students to tell their answers.

Step 4. Writing (3b)

        “Just now, we learnt what Ming’s life will be like in ten years. What will your life be like in ten years? Now write about yourself.”

         Let the students to write their own passage. Get two students to write their passage on the blackboard. Move around to check the progress.

         Check the passage on the blackboard.

Step 5 Do some exercises
