1.  Let students listen to a song “Whatever Will be Will Be”

   When I was just a little girl ,I asked my mother what will I be?

Will I be pretty, will I be rich? Here's what she said to me.

2. After listening to the song, ask:

What will school be like 100 year from now?

Will you be at this school in a year?

3. pairwork: Talk with your partner about what will be different five years or ten years in the future?

   Will you live in this town five years from now?

Will you be in college?

Will you have a job five years from now?

What job will you have ten years from now?

Will you have children ten years from now?

1. Call attention to the sentences in 1a.Ask each group to read a sentence. Explain “prediction” to the students

Say, These are the things the world will be in 100 years. Do you agree these predictions. Check A(for agree), D(for disagree).

It may be useful to contrast countable and uncountable nouns that describe the same thing. There will be fewer trees. There will be less wood. Point out that you can count lakes and trees, but that you can’t count water or wood. Water and wood are uncountable nouns.
